Obama and his advisers and undeniable master's at the political game. Whether the Birthers are right or wrong about President Obama's place of birth or not is irrelevant. The facts are they have set their own political bear trap and and walking right into it.

What do I mean?

Think it through, only two possibilities exist regarding the outcome of this situation:

Outcome A : Obama WAS born in the US, and does have a copy of his birth certificate.

Outcome B: Obama WAS NOT born in the US, but has all the resources of the government, FBI, and CIA at his disposal to create a birth certificate that would be indistinguishable from a real one.


So why then doesn't the president simply post it, or show it?

Because he is playing the Birthers, and the republican party they seemingly represent, for political fools.


Here is how I would play it out:

• Fight off every attempt by the birthers to force me to share my birth certificate.
• Do things that might even inflame suspicion about it, such as odd last minute visits to Hawaii.
• Force the Birthers to take the issue all the way up to the supreme court.
• Release my birth certificate once ordered to by the court, or even if the court said I didn't have to, releasing it at a politically charged opportunity point.
• Use the release to show how ridiculous the Birthers are, and how the republicans are not to be trusted.
• Plaster the newswire to show that while I (Obama) was trying to solve the countries problems, the republicans were just trying to lambaste me for their own personal gain.

Wake up Birthers, why do you think no one from Congress is helping you? Because they are politicians and can see this more clearly than you.

You are headed down a dead end street and are going to get mugged when you reach the end.

And kudos to president Obama for a political hand well played.
